Conversation by Campfire
18" x 24" In May of 1903, John Muir and President Theodore Roosevelt camped under the stars for three amazing nights in Yosemite in what could be considered the most significant camping trip in conservation history. John Muir persuaded Roosevelt to return Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove to federal protection as part of Yosemite National Park. Their story inspired me to create this piece, "A Conversation by the Campfire." If only I could have sat by the campfire with them that evening.

Moonlight on Rosarito Beach
16" x 20" This felt painting was inspired by a childhood vacation to Rosarito Beach, Mexico. I recall the moonlight was glowing over the sea as "Riders on the Storm" played softly in the background. They don't make music like that anymore.
Waves Crashing In My Dreams
16" x 20" I could sit for hours and watch the waves crash against rocks on the beachfront. I love the calm beaches of the Carolinas, but I do miss the rocks of Monterey Bay in California.
